What do I do after connecting an S-Video cable from my computer to my television?
Hi, everyone. I just bought an S-Video cable and connected it from my Dell Inspiron Vista laptop, to my RCA HDTV television. What I was trying to do was get the television screen to view what's on my desktop, but I'm a bit confused on where to go after connecting the S-Video cable. Can someone tell me what I'm supposed to do after the connection, because I put on my television and there is no sign that it's even recognizing the S-Video cable, in the computer and the television?

go to your desktop settings
right click on desktop > properties > settings > right click on monitor 2 > click on activate
you may need to restart the computer with your tv connected
