My chances of getting in the following colleges?
Ok, here's a bit more about me: GPA = 3.8 / 4.5 weighted I take all honors / AP course i intend to major in elementary education. and have a ton of work experience in the classroom 200 + 28 hours of community service on ACT and 1240 on Sat 5% higher in my class of 300 children (probably 6th or 7th) Now, here are some of my choices .... Bucknell Univ. (I think I will apply early decision) Univ. Maryland Univ. Penn State of Delaware (as is) Univ. Virginia George Wake Forest Washington Univ. (Legacy) American Univ. Please let me know what you think my chances are of being accepted to the schools listed above! Thank you! You can a scale of 1-10 or something! It does not matter! but my GPA on a 4.0 scale? haha
Your chances are good enough that you could take to reduce this list down some - or expand, if you want to go far from home. That said, there are so factors in this chaotic process that makes no sense to talk in terms of probability. You can have a CV and scores who sing and dance, and you can cancel all by writing an essay for your application generic Penn State why you want to go to Wake Forest! I was on a committee before admission. Sometimes the decisions have more to do with the needs and desires of the school or the committee that what they do with your strength as a student. I only have personal experience with the program in elementary ed at American U. of your list. I think your early decision strategy Bucknell is solid if that's where you know you want to go. If it works for sure will save you a ton of time and fees! If not, make sure you visit the places where you apply. Good luck!
