I have a SONY surround sound system and it keeps on going to "PROTECTOR" mode what should I do?
I also have problems when the center channel goes out. And you can't hear it. What should i do?
Typically a receiver goes into protect mode because of a shorted speaker wire. Unhook and reconnect all the speaker wires at both the receiver and the speaker end. Pay careful attention that no single strands of wire are crossing over and shorting out; just one strand is all it takes. This may also be the problem with your center channel speaker.
