Please tell me someone knows how to work a Portable cassette tape player?
I found my father's old cassette tape player, and found his old cassettes. And I wanted to play them.
It's a Panasonic Extra Bass System S-XBS Auto-Reverse. (I just read what it says on the thing).
And I don't know how to play the music on it!
I press play, but it won't work, and I changed the batteries. Help would be great.
I hear spinning, but no music is coming out.
Unless it's got speakers you're going to need to plug in headphones or speakers. It sounds like it's an old walkman knockoff so they didn't have speakers built in.
If you don't see the tape moving at all when you hit play, make sure the batteries are in correctly or try rubbing the contacts with a pencil eraser to clean them off. Amazingly enough I've managed to get cameras to work using that technique.
However if none of that does the trick I think it may be broken. In that case if you really want to hear the tapes, look on eBay for an old cassette player that's cheap.

Update: After seeing that, try plugging in headphones and your problem should be solved.
