HP recovery problem " This computer does not have a drive capable of creating CDs or DVDs"?
I just bought new HP notebook (Model: dv6-1245dx), and when I tried creating recovery disks this message showed up. This computer has multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support, so it should be able to create CD/DVDs. I also tried using different DVDs and even CDs and I still get this message.
I would really appreciate any advise possible. Thanks.
If this is a brand new unit, take it back to the place of purchase for warranty. Basically your DVD-RW drive is not functioning as it should.
And by the way you are doing the right thing by creating your recovery cd's ASAP.
