How long does an ipod Video last until it breaks down?
From what I've heard, an ipod Video (120 GB) lasts for 2 years until it starts to break down and you need to replace it. I have one, and it's been 2-3 years since I've had it, and I've been having problems lately, like my ipod keeps randomly turning on, and it's locked, and it keeps randomly pausing when playing music and videos, (Still locked.) is this true that's it finally breaking down? And that I need to replace it?
what you've heard is almost right. all ipods should last you about 2-3 years. although, ipod batteries last only a certain amount of time. they last about two years if you deplete the battery and recharge it completely twice a week. even though the ipod says it has 20 percent battery, it really has more. from what i've learned atleast. my ipod touch always says it has 50 percent battery when it really has 75 percent. all ipods eventually have to be replaced. this is what i would recommend you to do. if you've had the ipod for less than a year, take the warranty and get a new one after you "happen to find a defect". you'll get a free one or have to pay a small amount. but along with that one, i think you get another warranty. so until you're sick of the ipod, repeat the process. because the warranty that comes with all apple products only lasts one year.
