Just in case anyone is wondering, no, I am not in high school, no this is not homework help. I am just trying to jog some individuals' minds to think in a direction they may not have been jogged before.
Sarah Palin was treated to a platoon of lawyers investigating every aspect of her life, her family was brutalized her friends were investigated and a series of bogus charges were leveled at her to discredit her. These tactics are directly out of Saul Alinsky's "Rules for radicals" I have quoted them below. Every aspect of her personal private life was laid open and ridiculed publically

RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
By contrast, democrats had no idea Van Jones was a felon who admitted to hating cops or how radical the self proclaimed communist was. The newspaper incompetency and bias is turning into a national scandal

• Who on the White House staff cleared Van Jones?
• What was that person’s connection to Van Jones or Mr. Jones’s political sponsor?
• Who, exactly, was Mr. Jones’ sponsor for this job? How much money did he/she contribute to the Obama campaign?
• Did the Secret Service notify anyone on the White House staff — or the President or First Lady or Vice President Biden — that Mr. Jones had an arrest record on file with police in two cities?
• Did the Secret Service protest any of this, objecting to Mr. Jones’ clearance?
• If the Secret Service did object, who overruled them? The President? The Chief of Staff? Someone else?
• If the answer to this last question is yes, and the Secret Service was overruled by the President or someone else, why did this happen?
