My dogs foot has swelled and is weeping, can you help?
Hey yesterday i got home from school and noticed my dogs left foot had swelled and was considerably bigger then the other. Dad said it had been swelling all day and by the time i went to bed last night the swelling had spread all the way up to what i suspect to be his elbow, and his 'thumb?' was weeping.
This morning i woke up and he hadnt gotten better so dad took him to the vet. They gave him antibiotics but that was it, they wanted to take him to the hospital but dad didnt allow it. Anyway he's home now and although the swelling has stopped spreading, now his complete foot is weeping and appears to be very sore.
He is a bull mastiff, possibly crossed with a great dane, and is about 8 years old.
Can anyone give me any clues as to what is wrong with him, and how i can help get him better or stop any pain?
Please help me im really worried about him.

put some ice around his leg do not apply directly just wrrap it in a cloth and loosely round it around sweelings atleast there will be a lil pain releifs and seek some good vet advise u can also ask him to come ur home
plz let me know when he gets ok
