Was your first second time giving birth allot different from the first time?
I am due in 7 weeks with my second and I am wondering about other moms experiences with a second birth? my first labour was 21 hrs and very painful! I am hoping for it to go a little quicker and without the epidural! How many of you moms had it easier the second time or just as bad???
My first baby was induced at 37 weeks due to high blood pressure. My waters were broken and I was in agony for the next 30 hours, after 2 shots of pethedine, lots of gas and a second degree tear I finally gave birth to my daughter. My second labour was completely different and much more relaxed. I started contractions on my own at 10 am, two days after my due date and spent most of my labour at home. When I arrived at the hospital at 5pm, I was 8cm dilated, so the midwife broke my waters and half an hour later my son was born. I have to say my second labour was so much easier and quicker than my first and I found that I was able to deal with the pain a lot better too!
