Is it good or bad to put a fan next to a projector to help cool it?
Got a M209x dell dlp projector using mostly for movies and games. Wanted to know if putting a fan to help keep projector cool is a good idea? ive seen people do this, but is it ok?
It shouldn't hurt it at all. Just make sure it isn't blowing the hot air that's coming out of the projector back into it. If their is a vent or opening in the projector on the opposite side of where the internal fan is, then aim your cooling fan into that opening, so that way your blowing cool air in one end, and after it hits the bulb the internal fan will blow it back out the opposite end.
