Would you buy a PSP in very good condition from Amazon?
There's this PSP Rockband Bundle on Amazon and it comes with everything it normally comes with new. Its only $128 in very good condition! Should I buy it?
honestly I wouldn't do it myself but if you think it's worthy of your $$$ then do as you please.
here's why I wouldn't do it...
when you buy one used at GameStop, you can take them out of the boxes (Used systems don't go in original packaging) and power them on, and inspect the screen for DEAD PIXELS! i've had to return 3 PSPs, 2 for dead pixels and 1 for a faulty screen.
1000's cost about 120, 130 for 2000's last time i saw, but i don't know what the 3000 & Go goes for Used.
The way to check for dead pixels is:
1. have them plug in an AC power adapter so that you can max the screen's brightness that you don't get when on normal battery power
2. On the Horizontal bar go to Settings (far left)
3.Then select System Settings on the veritcal bar
4. Select "About PSP" at or near the very bottom.
5. wait for the screen to go 100% black and press X (this will pause the credits slideshow allowing you to keep the screen black)
6. Most dead pixels appear on black as little white specks. make sure the screen is at maximum brightness and look closely at the black for little white dots... if you find some, ask the GameStop employee to see different PSP. usually they have between 5 and 15 of each PSP model.
more stuff to look for:
--heavily used PSPs, regardless of their outside appearance, may have fading screens which can only be seen against a white background. Open the Web Browser to make the screen all white, turn the brightness all the way up and shade the PSP from the room's lights. if you see any kind of a yellow tint to the screen, reject it. if you see any areas along the very edges of the screens that appear to have a loss of brightness, color or both, reject it. if you didn't see a yellow tint at first, drop the screen brightness down to minimal / dim, block the room's light, and double check.
--scratches or chips on any edges. these can appear very small after a very hard impact, and could indicate that the disc lens track or motor might be damaged.
--check the memory stick slot. sometimes people leave their memory sticks in when they sell it to GameStop. if you find a memory stick in the PSP, it might be worth 1 or 2 possible dead pixels... don't tell them you found a memory stick in one PSP and not in the others... just say i'll take this one please 
don't feel awkward for being picky, make sure you get the best possible used system for your money.... be that customer that makes them say "oh man, we're going to be here all day..."
